Artist's Description

1980 Porsche 911 SC Targa. The Porsche Targa was introduced in 1965. This was an open version of the 911. The Name Targa came from a road race in Sicily named 'Targa Florio'. Targa also meant 'Shield' used to describe the rollbar. The rear window could fold down while the panel between windshield and rollbar could be lifted off creating an open version of the 911.

I have worked in the design field for more than thirty years, and have recently embarked on a new career path as a fine art illustrator. Originally from Liege, Belgium, I grew up near Spa and the famous road course there, which fueled a love of cars and racing that has never waned. I realized my own dream of racing, building a car, and competing for several years in southern California, where I now reside. I eventually channeled my love of cars, racing, and everything automotive into my art, which takes me to races, events, and concours pursuing perfect examples of automotive design for my drawings.
