In 1992 Porsche introduced a 964 Carrera 2 variant, called the Carrera RS for the European Market only. It was based on Porsche 911 Carrera Cup race car and featured a revised version of the standard engine with an increased power output of 260 bhp and lightweight flywheel coupled to the G50/10 transmission with closer ratios, asymmetrical Limited Slip Differential and steel syncromesh. A track-oriented suspension system with 1.6 in lower ride height, stiffer springs, shocks and adjustable stabilizer bars without power steering. A later ultra-limited production version, the Carrera 3.8 RS featuring the Turbo body and a 300 bhp 3.8 litre motor was sold briefly in Europe. This 3,746 cc engine was also available in a more powerful competition version called the 3.8 RSR.

I have worked in the design field for more than thirty years, and have recently embarked on a new career path as a fine art illustrator. Originally from Liege, Belgium, I grew up near Spa and the famous road course there, which fueled a love of cars and racing that has never waned. I realized my own dream of racing, building a car, and competing for several years in southern California, where I now reside.
